At the heart of our school are a set of core Christian Values. These underpin our whole ethos,
curriculum and school life and aim to ensure our pupils leave Walsgrave C of E Primary Academy
as happy, secure, caring and responsible citizens. The values we promote are important within
the school community and are values which will be important throughout life. In all that we do
we strive to share, encourage and demonstrate positive values with our children; in order that
they understand them and strive to live by them.
Our Christian Values are:
Church Status and Links
We are well supported by our local parish church St Mary’s. Rev Malcolm Tyler regularly leads worship at Walsgrave C of E Academy and is the chair of the Local Governing Body.
Walsgrave School’s association with St Mary’s goes back many years. The church is a landmark to the local area offering much support and respite for many in our community.
At Walsgrave C of E Academy we celebrate our faith in a number of ways. Each classroom has a ‘Reflection’ area where children are encouraged to sit quietly and read or write prayers. We have a special Prayer Tree where children can write and attach their prayers. Each class has its own candle, which is brought into the room at different times during the week.
We celebrate the customary seasons such as Christmas, Easter and Harvest Festival. School Services are held at St Mary’s during the year.
