Mrs GraySENCo
Mrs Gray
- Miss Charles leads the provision for SEND across Walsgrave Academy. She co-ordinates the support for children who are both SEND Support and children with EHCPs
- She completed her National SENCo qualification in 2020. She also has an BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology.
- Miss Charles is a licenced Thrive Practitioner and leads on the Thrive provision for our pupils with SEND
- Miss Charles sends out weekly informative newsletters which covers the range of SEND
- She works in partnerships with external professionals in supporting children with significant SEND in school.
- Throughout the year, Miss Charles participates in ongoing SEND information and training courses to ensure we have the most up-to-date knowledge and insight into strategies to support students effectively within the school environment.
- Miss Charles is the lead teacher for The Acorns and The Oaks (our school-based, adaptive provisions within school). She is responsible for the planning and progress of the children who access these provisions.
- Miss Charles oversees the SEND interventions run by teaching assistants
- She delivers the interventions: Attention Autism, Thrive, Lego Therapy and personalised SEND interventions.

Miss Temperley is the lead TA in the Oaks provision (our school-based adapted provision).

- Mrs Doyle is our lead TA for Speech and Language and supports across the primary classes.
- She supports in The Oaks three mornings each week
- Mrs Doyle runs Speech and Language interventions three afternoons each week.

- Miss Robinson is the lead cover supervisor in The Acorns classroom.

- Michelle leads on pastoral support across the Trust
- Michelle leads on pastoral support and safeguarding within school
- She is a licensed Thrive practitioner and leads Thrive within school
If parents are not in agreement with SEND provision for their child they should contact the SENDCO and/or the Head Teacher at the school to discuss the support and provision in place.
