Worship, Prayer and Reflection

Each classroom has a dedicated worship wall and space where children can reflect and pray. We also have spaces in both Upper and Lower School Hall where children can place their prayer requests.

The Lord’s Pray is the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples, when they asked him how they should pray. All children are encouraged to learn this pray and it is said daily during collective worship.

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.

It is also part of our daily routine to pray before the children go to lunch and for all the children before they go home at the end of the day.

The 5 Finger Prayer

At Walsgrave CofE Academy we use our hands to help us to pray.
